Basketball Recap: Pine View Falls Short Against Ranked Bishop Gorman + How To Watch

Pine View is ranked highly in their home state and on Tuesday they took on another highly ranked team in the form of Bishop Gorman. The Panthers lost 76-53 to the Gaels. The game marked the Panthers' lowest-scoring contest so far this season.

Several Panthers players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Cooper Ranson, who went 8-for-20 to rack up 17 points. Ranson's evening made it three games in a row in which he has scored at least 16 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Jelani Odjegba, who almost dropped a double-double with nine points and 15 rebounds.

Pine View's defeat dropped their record down to 4-2. As for Bishop Gorman, they pushed their record up to 5-2 with the victory, which was their eighth straight at home dating back to last season.

Pine View didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 55-40 win against Snow Canyon on the 10th. As for Bishop Gorman, they have also already played their next game, a 72-55 victory against Faith Lutheran on the 12th.
