Volleyball Recap: Great Hearts Western Hills Extends Winning Streak to Four

Great Hearts Western Hills waltzed into their matchup on Tuesday with three straight wins... but they left with four. Everything went their way against Varsity Opponent as they made off with a 3-0 win. That's the eighth time they've managed to beat them this season, with their most recent victory being a 3-0 win last Monday.

Great Hearts Western Hills' got stronger as the match went on, holding Varsity Opponent to fewer and fewer points set over set. The match finished with set scores of 25-23, 25-22, 25-17.

Sarah Rodriguez paced Great Hearts Western Hills' offense, picking up 17 kills. Rodriguez got some help from Avianna Martinez and her 24 assists. Martinez was also solid from the service line: she led the team with four aces.

Great Hearts Western Hills' victory bumped their record up to 19-5.

Coming up, Great Hearts Western Hills will head out to take on Harmony Science Academy at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Varsity Opponent, they wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 3-0 defeat against Lincoln Leadership Academy on the 1st.
