Longmeadow faced Minnechaug Regional in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Wednesday. The Lancers came out on top against the Falcons by a score of 3-1. The Lancers' win was nothing new given the team hasn't lost yet this season.

The match finished with set scores of 25-17, 15-25, 25-20, 25-18.

Longmeadow can attribute much of their success to Tess Tonsing, who had 14 digs and two aces. That's the most digs Tonsing has posted since back in September.

Tonsing wasn't the only good servers: Longmeadow was lethal from the service line and finished the match with 16 aces. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now served at least nine aces in 14 consecutive matches dating back to last season.

Longmeadow's record is now 12-0. As for Minnechaug Regional, they moved to 11-2 with that defeat, which also ended their eight-match winning streak.

Longmeadow wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 3-0 victory against Agawam on the 6th. As for Minnechaug Regional, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 3-0 win against Frontier Regional on the 6th.
