Basketball Game Preview: Rowland Raiders vs. Fontana Steelers

The Rowland Raiders will challenge the Fontana Steelers at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Rowland is coming into the contest hot, having won their last nine games.

Rowland is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Wednesday. They enjoyed a cozy 59-42 win over Rialto.

Meanwhile, Fontana posted their closest victory since December 28, 2023 on Wednesday. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 62-60 win over Cantwell-Sacred Heart of Mary.

Rowland's victory was their seventh straight at home, which pushed their record up to 20-8. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 59.1 points over those games. As for Fontana, they are on a roll lately: they've won ten of their last 12 matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 19-5 record this season.

Rowland beat Fontana 50-42 when the teams last played back in November of 2022. The rematch might be a little tougher for Rowland since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
