Basketball Recap: Lewis Angapak Blue Jays vs. Kongiganak Wolverines

The Lewis Angapak Blue Jays scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Friday. They took their match on the road with ease, bagging a 86-54 victory over Kongiganak. For those curious, yes, that was the biggest win Lewis Angapak has managed all season.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Lewis Angapak to victory, but perhaps none more so than Ashton White, who scored 33 points. White is crushing the point category: he's posted at least 17 every time he's taken the court this season. Another player making a difference was Anthony Castel, who scored 29 points.

Kongiganak's loss came despite strong showings from Sam Lewis and Jarrett Brown. Lewis scored 15 points, while Brown scored 12 points. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Lewis has scored all season.

The victory (which was Lewis Angapak's third in a row) raised their record to 3-3. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 78.3 points per game. As for Kongiganak, their loss dropped their record down to 3-3.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Lewis Angapak will take on the Cougars at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday. As for Kongiganak, their homestand continues as they prepare to take on the Falcons at 9:00 a.m. on January 20th. Chief Paul Memorial will be coming into the matchup with an undefeated record on the line.
