Baseball Recap: Concord Christian Comes Up Short

Concord Christian was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. They lost 10-1 to the Webb Spartans. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Lions of the 13-2 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in April of 2023.

Concord Christian saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Robert Dowell, who went 1-for-2 with one RBI. Caleb Stuart also deserves some recognition as he got his first hit of the season.

Concord Christian's defeat dropped their record down to 1-6-3. As for Webb, with the victory, they broke their seven-game losing streak and moved their record to 2-8.

Coming up, Concord Christian will head out on the road to challenge Elizabethton at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Webb, they will welcome Volunteer at 12:15 p.m. on March 22nd.
