Football Game Preview: Mercer County Golden Eagles vs. Princeton Tigers + How To Watch

The Mercer County Golden Eagles will take on the Princeton Tigers at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Mercer County is coming into the game on a five-game losing streak.

On Friday, Mercer County had to suffer through a 61-24 loss at the hands of Rockridge. While losing is never fun, the Golden Eagles can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Illinois football rankings (they are ranked 343rd, while the Rockets are ranked 85th).

Meanwhile, Princeton was fully in charge on Friday, breezing past Mendota 48-10. The Tigers haven't had any issues with the Trojans recently, as the game was their fifth consecutive victory against them.

Mercer County's defeat dropped their record down to 1-6. As for Princeton, they now have a winning record of 4-3.

Mercer County was taken down by Princeton 57-20 in their previous meeting back in October of 2024. That matchup was all but decided by halftime, at which point the Golden Eagles were down 57-12.
