Basketball Recap: Yousef Ihmud's Big Game Can't Quite Lead Chino over Beverly Hills

Chino was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They took a 77-65 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Beverly Hills Normans. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Cowboys of the 65-44 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in December of 2024.

Chino lost despite a true team effort on offense. The best among them was Yousef Ihmud, who dropped a double-double with 32 points and 11 boards. That was a full 49.2% of Chino's points, marking the third time in a row Ihmud has posted more than a third of the team's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Treston Davis, who had 17 points along with eight assists and three steals.

Chino's loss dropped their record down to 1-4. As for Beverly Hills, their win bumped their record up to 5-1.

Chino wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next matchup, a 98-67 victory against University on the 4th. As for Beverly Hills, they have also already played their next contest, an 84-58 win against Oakwood on the 4th.
