In the Sierra Foothill League, quarterbacks Ari Patu of Folsom and Justin Lamson of Oak Ridge (El Dorado Hills) seek league and even section titles before they head off to a big time college program.

In the southern part of the section, elite prospect Raleek Brown may have transferred from Edison (Stockton) to national power Mater Dei, but that does not mean the only talent is gone.

Kimoni Stanley, who led the area with over 2,000 yards rushing for Sierra (Manteca, Calif.), returns for his senior season. At Central Catholic (Modesto) high school, 6-foot-5, 280-pound defensive tackle Julius Lewis will be back for Raiders.

Here are 15 Class of 2021 players to watch this upcoming football season:

Isaiah Bass, Capital Christian (Sacramento)5-foot-10 | 170 pounds | ATH | Undecided
Bass had over 1,200 all-purpose yards last season as a junior. He is listed as an athlete because he makes plays on both the offense and defensive side of the ball.

Prophet Brown, Monterey Trail (Elk Grove)

The 4-star defensive back has offers from Michigan, Nebraska, Notre Dame, Oregon and more. 247Sports predicts Brown will land at Oklahoma.

Vincent Carter, Granite Bay

Carter has moved up to 3-star status by 247Sports. The 6-foot-5 offensive tackle will be another elite player in the Sierra Foothill League.

Gonebure was at Capital Christian but has enrolled at Rocklin for his senior season. The Thunder added a big piece to their defensive line.

Opposing teams find Higgins and do all they can avoid passing to his side. The California Golden Bears commit joins Patu as a big time returner for Folsom.

Justin Lamson, Oak Ridge (El Dorado Hills)
6-3 | 210 | QB | Undecided

MaxPreps recently named Lamson as one of the most underrated players in the country. The secret is out, the Oak Ridge quarterback can flat out play.

Keleki Latu, Jesuit (Carmichael)
6-6 | 205 | OLB | Undecided

Latu has seven offers, including Arizona State, Cal, Nebraska, Oregon and Sacramento State. The senior is listed as an OLB at the next level, but look for him to make an impact at tight end as well for Jesuit.

Julius Lewis, Central Catholic (Modesto)
6-5 | 280 | DT | Fresno State

The Fresno State commit is another big-time player from Central Catholic.

Nathan Lewis, Jesuit (Carmichael)

Gabe Milbourn, Sonora

Murray made plays on the offensive side as a wide receiver as a junior and as a corner, where he piled up 88 tackles.

Oladejo has offers from Arizona, Army, California and others.

Ari Patu, Folsom

The Stanford commit saw some action last year for the Bulldogs, but this year Patu is primed for a breakout season under center as the full-time starter for one of the section's top teams.
