Baseball Recap: Spencerport Takes a Loss

Spencerport was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They fell 8-3 to the Victor Blue Devils. Give some credit to the fans of both teams: the last five times they've met, the home team has come away the winner.

Spencerport saw six different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Grant Distaffen, who went 1-for-2 with one stolen base and one run.

Spencerport's loss dropped their record down to 6-13. As for Victor, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 10-4.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Spencerport will square off against Fairport at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. The Red Raiders' pitching crew has only allowed 3.4 runs per game this season, so the Rangers' hitters will have their work cut out for them. As for Victor, they will face off against Irondequoit at 5:00 p.m. on Monday.
