Basketball Recap: Kenton Wildcats vs. Shawnee Indians
Kenton was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their tenth straight loss. They had to suffer through a 65-33 loss at the hands of the Shawnee Indians. The Wildcats were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 32-8.
Shawnee found their leader in sophomore Trevick Bertke, who went 9 for 11 on his way to 18 points and four blocks. The dominant performance gave Bertke a new career-high in blocks. Jagger Hutchins was another key player, going 5 of 7 en route to 13 points and five boards.
Kenton's defeat dropped their record down to 1-10. As for Shawnee, the win (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 13-2.
