Football Recap: Dixie Takes a Loss

Dixie was the 35-34 winner over Cedar when they last played one another back in October of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. The Flyers fell just short of the Reds by a score of 16-13 on Friday.

Although Dixie took the loss, they still got scores from Tano Anzalone and Jayson Malufau.

Everett Kelling was the offensive standout of the matchup as he threw for 160 yards and a pair of touchdowns.

Dixie now has a losing record of 1-2. As for Cedar, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 3-0.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Dixie will venture away from home to square off against Layton Christian Academy at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Cedar, they will head out to face off against Logan at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.
