Volleyball Recap: Banneker Trojans vs. McIntosh Chiefs
Banneker was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. They took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the McIntosh Chiefs. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Trojans of the 2-0 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in September.
The final score came out to 25-10, 25-8.
McIntosh found their leader in underclassman Baylee Tanton, who had seven aces. Those seven aces set a new season-high mark for Tanton.
Banneker's defeat dropped their record down to 7-12. As for McIntosh, their victory was their 13th straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 29-9.
Banneker does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for McIntosh, they wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next game, a 2-0 win against Dutchtown on the 10th.
