Baseball Recap: White Station Beats Tipton Christian Academy for Their Sixth Straight Win

White Station entered their tilt with Tipton Christian Academy on Tuesday with five consecutive wins, and they'll enter their next game with six. They put the hurt on the Eagles with a sharp 13-0 win. Considering the Spartans have won nine matchups by more than nine runs this season, Tuesday's blowout was nothing new.

Benjamin Mendez was a major factor no matter where he played. He kept things locked down with no earned runs or hits while striking out ten over four innings pitched. He has been consistent recently: he hasn't given up more than one earned run in three consecutive appearances. He was also stellar in the batter's box, going 2-for-3 with two stolen bases, three RBI, and two runs. That's the most stolen bases he has posted since back in March.

In other batting news, White Station let Julian Haddad and Demarcus Covington run wild. Haddad scored a run and stole a base while going 3-for-4, while Covington scored three runs and stole three bases. That's the most hits Haddad has posted since back in March. Hayes Bennett was another key player, scoring three runs and stealing two bases while getting on base in two of his four plate appearances.

White Station's record now sits at 16-6. As for Tipton Christian Academy, their defeat ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 7-14.

Looking ahead, White Station will welcome First Assembly Christian at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Tipton Christian Academy, they will head out on the road to take on Gibson County at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday.
