Basketball Recap: Vista Ridge Takes a Loss

Vista Ridge lost against Round Rock Westwood back in January and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Vista Ridge Rangers were beaten by the Round Rock Westwood Warriors 71-40. While losing is never fun, the Rangers can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 325th, while the Warriors are ranked 56th).

Gavin Howard and Dylan Gonzales certainly did their best on Tuesday to avoid the loss. Howard posted 14 points and eight rebounds, while Gonzales put up ten points. That's the most points Gonzales has posted since back in January of 2024.

Vista Ridge's defeat dropped their record down to 17-16. As for Round Rock Westwood, their victory bumped their record up to 30-4.

As of now, neither Vista Ridge nor Round Rock Westwood have any future games scheduled.
