Volleyball Recap: Anderson Falls to Round Rock in First Game of Season

Anderson unfortunately couldn't capitalize on their home-court advantage in their season opener. They lost 3-0 to the Round Rock Dragons on Monday. The Trojans have struggled against the Dragons recently, as the game was their third consecutive lost matchup.

Anderson was was forced to take the loss, but they sure made Round Rock work for it, especially in the third set. The match finished with set scores of 25-21, 25-12, 27-25.

Leading Round Rock to victory were Aubrey Goode and Isa Cordaway-Dreier. Goode had seven digs and two aces, while Cordaway-Dreier had 14 digs and three assists. What's more, Goode racked up 13 assists, the most she's had since back in October of 2024.

Anderson didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 3-0 defeat against Stony Point on the 12th. As for Round Rock, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next game, a 3-0 loss against Lake Travis on the 12th.
