Basketball Recap: Peotone's Luck Changes for the Better on Tuesday

Peotone had lost three straight headed into Tuesday's matchup, but Olivia Moe didn't let it get to four. The Peotone Blue Devils simply couldn't be stopped on Tuesday as they easily beat the Newark Norsemen 49-8 thanks in part to Moe, who went 6 of 12 en route to 18 points and seven steals. The dominant performance gave her a new career-high in steals.

Peotone's win bumped their record up to 5-18. As for Newark, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-19.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Peotone will challenge Streator at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Newark has already played their next game (against Indian Creek), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
