It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but Batesville had no problem doing just that on Thursday. Their defense stepped up to hand the Connersville Spartans a 4-0 shutout. Batesville might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won six contests by four goals or more this season.

They hit Connersville with a four-pronged attack, as the team got scores from Marley Denning, Hailee Weisenbach, Maddie Prewitt, and Adalynn Fledderman.

The win made it two in a row for Batesville and bumps their season record up to 11-5-1. The victories came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only given up zero goals over those two matchups. As for Connersville, their loss dropped their record down to 8-8-2.
