Softball Recap: Robinson Comes Up Short

Robinson lost against Newton back in April of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The Maroons lost 9-2 to the Eagles. The Maroons have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Robinson saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Eva Herman, who went 2-for-3 with one home run and one double. Herman is on a roll when it comes to home runs, as she's now launched at least one in each of the last four games she's played.

Robinson's defeat dropped their record down to 11-11. As for Newton, the win keeps they at an undefeated 19-0.

Coming up, Robinson will welcome Lawrenceville at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. As for Newton, they have already played their next game, a 17-1 victory against St. Teresa on the 10th.
