Troup County gave their fans exactly what they wanted out of a home opener on Friday. They came out on top against the Villa Rica Wildcats by a score of 42-31. That's more bragging rights for the Tigers, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

Javarris Warner had an outrageously good game as he rushed for 117 yards and a pair of scores on only ten carries, and also caught one touchdown. Another player making a difference was Garrison Edwards, who threw for 201 yards and three TDs while completing 83.3% of his passes.

Troup County has already played their next matchup, a 42-0 victory against Harris County on the 22nd. As for Villa Rica, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next game, a 12-9 loss against Northgate on the 22nd.
