Baseball Game Preview: Mount Si Wildcats vs. North Creek Jaguars

Mount Si and North Creek are an even 5-5 against one another since April of 2018, but likely not for long. A feisty cat fight will be fought as Mount Si Wildcats challenge North Creek Jaguars at 6:30 p.m. on Monday. This will be Mount Si's first chance to prove their worth in the conference.

On Saturday, Mount Si didn't have quite enough to beat Gonzaga Prep and fell 7-5. The loss was the Wildcats' first of the season.

Taylor Davis was cooking despite his team's loss, scoring two runs and stealing Three bases. while going 3-for-3. Those three stolen bases gave him a new career-high. Preston Przybylski was another key player, going 1-for-3 with one home run and two RBI.

Meanwhile, North Creek took care of business in their home opener on Tuesday. They walked away with a 4-1 win over Glacier Peak.

Cayden Christopherson made a splash no matter where he played. On the mound, he tossed five innings while giving up just one earned run off four hits. Christopherson was also big at the plate, getting on base in all three of his plate appearances with two runs and one triple.

In other pitching news, Adam Woodard looked comfortable as he pitched one inning while giving up no earned runs or hits.

Having lost for the first time this season, Mount Si fell to 2-1. As for North Creek, their victory bumped their record up to 1-0.
