Baseball Recap: Vanguard College Prep Takes a Loss

Vanguard College Prep lost against Brazos Christian last Tuesday, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Vikings came up short against the Eagles, falling 11-1. The Vikings have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Vanguard College Prep's defeat dropped their record down to 5-5. As for Brazos Christian, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 11-6.

Coming up, Vanguard College Prep will challenge Hill Country Christian School of Austin at 2:00 p.m. on Monday. The Vikings' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Knights have averaged an impressive 7.6 runs per game this season. As for Brazos Christian, they will have some time to savor their victory since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Texas Wind at 7:00 p.m. on the 21st.
