Basketball Recap: Collinsville Comes Up Short

Collinsville was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They had to suffer through a 56-28 loss at the hands of the Alton Redbirds. The game marked the Kahoks' lowest-scoring matchup so far this season.

Stanley Carnahan was Collinsville's leading scorer, having posted eight points. Solomon Talbott held things down on the boards with five rebounds.

Collinsville now has a losing record of 15-16. As for Alton, the victory was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 24-6.

While Collinsville had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
