KingCo will continue to take shape early while Federal Way vs. Camas, Shadle Park vs. Richland highlight non-league slate.

Alta (Sandy, Utah) at Bellevue
Saturday, 7 p.m.
Six-time defending Class 3A state champ Bellevue will tussle with a program from outside Washington for the second consecutive week. Winners of 55 games in a row, the Wolverines dominated Serra (Gardena, Calif.) 31-14 in their opener. Alta comes in limping after an 0-3 start in the Beehive State.

Federal Way at Camas
Friday, 7:30 p.m.
Federal Way led 21-7 at the half last week against Union (Vancouver) before falling 34-27. Now the Eagles must go through Camas to avoid an unthinkable 0-2 start. The Papermakers are 26-2 since the start of the 2012 season and won a 2013 Class 4A state championship game rematch with Chiawana (Pasco) in the opener.

Chiawana (Pasco) at Wenatchee
Friday, 7 p.m.
Defending 4A state champs Chiawana will look to get back on track against Wenatchee, a 20-7 winner over Mead (Spokane) in its first game without former star running back and current Stanford freshman Isaiah Brandt-Sims.

Shadle Park (Spokane, Wash.) at Richland
Friday, 7 p.m.
Boise State pledge Brett Rypien opened his senior campaign with 428 yards through the air and eight touchdown passes in a 63-14 win over Fife. Richland fell to Greater Spokane League favorite Gonzaga Prep (Spokane) 24-21.

Issaquah at Bothell
Friday, 7 p.m.
Here is a pair of KingCo 4A heavyweights coming off dramatically different Week 1 results. Bothell was impressive in a win over Eastlake (Sammamish) while Issaquah will be looking to rebound after a 48-21 setback against Skyline (Sammamish).

Newport (Bellevue) at Skyline (Sammamish)
Friday, 7 p.m.
Newport would love to prove it belongs in the conversation at the top of KingCo 4A. But keeping up with the Spartans won't be an easy task. Junior quarterback Blake Gregory completed 15 of 20 passes for 415 yards and four scores last week against Issaquah.

Marysville-Pilchuck at Lake Stevens
Friday, 7 p.m.
This should be a fun one. Marysville-Pilchuck piled up 458 yards on the ground while blasting Kamiak (Mukilteo) 41-15 in its opener. Meanwhile, standout junior signal caller Jacob Eason (Georgia commitment) threw for 294 yards and three TDs in a 28-21 Lake Stevens victory over Meadowdale (Lynnwood). M-P won 37-24 in this series last year but Lake Stevens ran away with a 45-21 triumph in 2012.

Bellarmine Prep (Tacoma) at Gonzaga Prep (Spokane)
Friday, 6 p.m.
Both schools took care of business last week to set up an intriguing matchup between 1-0 cross-state Jesuit rivals.

Friday, 8 p.m.
Ferris returned home from the long trip to Olympia last week 0-1. Things won't get any easier this week as Coeur d'Alene is coming off a 50-14 drubbing of Central Valley.

Freeman (Rockford) at Pullman
Friday, 7 p.m.
Best matchup of the weekend in the small school ranks. Freeman is ranked No. 1 by the Associated Press in 1A and looked the part last week. Pullman is surprisingly unranked in 2A after throttling East Valley (Yakima) 57-21. In that contest, junior QB Mason Petrino threw for 329 yards and the Greyhounds put up over 500 yards of total offense.
