Despite a phenomenal run in the regular season, Langston Hughes couldn't carry that success into this playoff game. They took a 52-47 hit to the loss column at the hands of the River Ridge Knights. The Panthers' defeat signaled the end of their 11-game winning streak.

River Ridge's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Joy Tchamabe, who posted 13 points and six boards. Those 13 points gave Tchamabe a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Kyla Cantey, who went 5-for-9 on her way to 12 points and five rebounds.

Langston Hughes' loss dropped their record down to 29-3. As for River Ridge, the win was the 28th in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 31-1.

As of now, neither Langston Hughes nor River Ridge have any future games scheduled.
