While Eleva-Strum's win against Pepin/Alma wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. The Cardinals narrowly escaped with a victory as the squad sidled past the Eagles 6-5. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Cardinals.

Ruby Bartholomew spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered two runs (both of which were unearned) on five hits and racked up 19 Ks. She has been consistent for a while: she hasn't given up more than two walks any time she's pitched this season.

On the hitting side, Maddea Brown was incredible, going 2-for-3 with two runs, two RBI, and one double. Those two RBI gave her a new career-high. Sadie Norby was another key player, going 2-for-3 with two RBI.

Eleva-Strum now has a winning record of 6-5. As for Pepin/Alma, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost seven of their last eight contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 4-10 record this season.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Eleva-Strum will welcome Whitehall at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Pepin/Alma, they will look to defend their home field on Friday against Cochrane-Fountain City at 5:00 p.m.
