Basketball Game Preview: Community Braves vs. Bonham Warriors

The Community Braves will take on the Bonham Warriors in a holiday battle at at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. One thing working in Community's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last three games.

On Tuesday, Community didn't have too much breathing room in their match against Rains, but they still walked away with a 62-56 victory.

Bonham has been a dominant force so far, but they're in the middle of a mini-slump at the moment. They came up short against Greenville on Saturday, falling 54-33. The contest marked the Warriors' lowest-scoring game so far this season.

Defeat or not, Bonham got some senior leadership from Heath Brown and Dj Stewart. Brown went 6 for 8 on his way to 14 points and three steals, while Stewart posted eight points. Brown has been hot, having posted two or more steals the last five times he's played.

Community's win was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 10-5. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 70.7 points per game. As for Bonham, their loss dropped their record down to 10-5.

Things could have been worse for Community, but things could have been a whole lot better as they took a 52-37 loss to Bonham in their previous matchup back in November of 2018.
