Softball Recap: Bonner Springs Comes Up Short

Bonner Springs lost against Ottawa on Monday, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Monday. The Braves came up short against the Cyclones, falling 22-8.

Emma Lara was cooking despite her team's loss, going 2-for-4 with one home run, three runs, and four RBI. The team also got some help courtesy of Lili Garcia, who scored three runs and stole two bases while going 1-for-3.

Bonner Springs' loss dropped their record down to 0-2. As for Ottawa, the victory was the fifth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 7-1.

We've got plenty of inter-district action coming up soon. Bonner Springs is set to take on their familiar foe Spring Hill at 4:30 p.m. on Friday. Meanwhile, Ottawa will face off against rival Baldwin at 6:00 p.m. on the 15th.
