Baseball Recap: Boron Falls Short of South in the Playoffs

Boron and South squared off in some playoff action on Friday, but Boron had to settle for second. They fell just short of the Spartans by a score of 5-4. The Bobcats have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Boron saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Andrew Gartica, who went 1-for-3 with one run.

Boron's defeat dropped their record down to 13-7. As for South, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won nine of their last ten contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 20-8 record this season.

Boron does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for South, they will square off against California City at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday. The Ravens will roll in looking for their 12th straight win, something the Spartans surely won't give up without a fight.
