Softball Recap: Classical Has No Trouble Against Hope

Classical's game last Thursday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Thursday. Everything went their way against the Hope Blue Wave as they made off with a 23-16 victory. The Purple might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won six games by seven runs or more this season.

Classical let Astrid Santos Adames and Amya Manston run wild. Santos Adames got two hits, while Manston got four hits. Manston has been hot recently, having also posted at least one stolen base the last four times she's played. Another player making a difference was Vivian Hoffman, who got three hits.

Classical hit smart and finished the game with only one strikeout. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Hope struck out six times.

Classical is on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 6-2 record this season. Those wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 16.3 runs over those games. As for Hope, the loss snapped their winning streak at four games and leaves them with a 5-7 record.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: the Blue Wave beat Classical by a score of 41-15 on Saturday.
