             Southwest EC has relied on a stalwart defense averaging 14.5  points allowed per game, but that average took a hit  on Monday. They had to suffer through a   42-0 loss at the hands of the Vincent Memorial Scots. While losing is never fun, the Eagles can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage  in MaxPreps' California football rankings  (they are ranked 326th, while the Scots are ranked 46th).

 Vincent Memorial's win  was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from   Azul Trujillo, who threw for 286 yards and four touchdowns while completing 72.5% of her passes. Trujillo is  on a roll when it comes to  passing touchdowns, as she's  now  passed for four or more in the last three games she's  played.  Gala Cervantes was in the mix  as well, providing Vincent Memorial with two touchdowns.
 Southwest EC's loss was  their third straight on the road, which  dropped their record down to 4-8. As for Vincent Memorial, the  victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 7-1.
 Southwest EC will square off against Calexico at 7:30  p.m.  on Monday. Southwest EC's defense has only allowed 14.5  points per game  this season, so Calexico's offense will have their work cut out for them. Vincent Memorial has already played their next contest,  a  33-8  win against Holtville on the 2nd.
