Basketball Recap: Key West Takes a Loss

Key West was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their 23rd straight loss dating back to last season. They took a hard 48-34 fall against the Archbishop McCarthy Mavericks. If the Conchs were looking for revenge after losing 62-45 to them when the teams met, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Key West's record now sits at 0-7. As for Archbishop McCarthy, their victory ended a ten-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 2-8.

Key West will take on Coral Shores in a holiday battle at at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. Key West is facing Coral Shores at the right time seeing as Coral Shores is stuck on a three-game losing streak. As for Archbishop McCarthy, they will venture away from home to square off against Lourdes Academy at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. Lourdes Academy will roll in looking for their fifth straight win, something Archbishop McCarthy surely won't give up without a fight.
