Basketball Recap: Sheldon Makes It Ten in a Row at Home

Sheldon had already won two in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 21 points) and they went ahead and made it three on Friday. They took down the Franklin Wildcats 65-51. The Huskies have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Wildcats, too.

Chadwick Johnson continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, going 7 of 16 en route to 18 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Sebastian James, who went 5 for 9 on his way to 13 points and six rebounds.

Sheldon was working as a unit and finished the game with 13 assists. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Franklin only racked up six assists.

Franklin lost despite a true team effort on offense, the best among them being Aiden Rollins, who posted 12 points. Another player making a difference was Jacob Juarros, who had seven points and five boards.

Sheldon's win was their tenth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 9-9. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 77.5 points per game. As for Franklin, their defeat ended an eight-game streak of away wins dating back to last season and brought them to 15-3.

Sheldon didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 45-37 victory against Bishop O'Dowd on the 18th. Franklin has also already played their next matchup, a 67-55 win against West on the 18th.
