Volleyball Recap: Dynamic Duo of Zoe Kincheloe and Anna Hilbrich Lead Heritage Christian to Victory

Heritage Christian's game last Thursday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Tuesday. They put the hurt on the Lawrence Central Bears with a sharp 3-0 victory. The Eagles were shut out 2-0 the last time they took on the Bears, so the Eagles were just returning the favor.

Heritage Christian walked away with the win (and looked especially good in the third set). The final score came out to 25-18, 25-18, 25-14.

Leading Heritage Christian to victory were Anna Hilbrich and Zoe Kincheloe. Hilbrich had ten digs and three aces, while Kincheloe had 18 assists. Those ten digs gave Hilbrich a new career-high.

They weren't the only good server: Heritage Christian was lethal from the service line and finished the game with 14 aces. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now served at least six aces every time they've taken the court this season.

Heritage Christian's first victory this season bumped their record up to 1-2. As for Lawrence Central, they are on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-5.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Heritage Christian will welcome Indy Genesis HomeSchool at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Lawrence Central, they will host Warren Central at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
