Volleyball Recap: Linden Comes Up Short + How To Watch

Fans were treated to a battle of the Lions on Thursday. Linden fell just short of Big Valley Christian by a score of 3-2. Linden has struggled against Big Valley Christian recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive lost matchup.

In an exciting match in which no team claimed back-to-back wins, Linden sadly wound up on the wrong side. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-18, 22-25, 25-16, 17-25, 16-14.

Katie Schallberger paced Linden's offense, picking up 16 kills. Schallberger got some help from Allie Kehoe and her 20 assists. Schallberger was also a major player on defense: she and Annamarie Lagorio shared the team lead in blocks, finishing with four each.

Linden's loss dropped their record down to 15-10. As for Big Valley Christian, their win was their 12th straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 23-9.

Linden didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 3-2 defeat against Summerville on the 21st. As for Big Valley Christian, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next match, a 3-0 victory against Calaveras on the 21st.
