Baseball Preview: Coudersport Falcons vs. Johnsonburg Rams
The Coudersport Falcons are taking a road trip to face off against the Johnsonburg Rams at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. Coudersport is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 7.6 runs per game this season.
Coudersport's pitching crew heads into the match hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Monday. They put the hurt on Oswayo Valley with a sharp 11-0 win. Considering the Falcons have won eight contests by more than six runs this season, Monday's blowout was nothing new.
Danny VanVladricken made a big impact no matter where he played. He pitched two innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. He has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up more than one hit in six consecutive appearances. He was also big at the plate, going a perfect 1-for-1 with one stolen base, two RBI, and one run.
In other batting news, Coudersport got a big performance out of Mitchell Taylor, who got on base in all three of his plate appearances with two stolen bases and two runs. Quinn Kratzer also deserves some recognition as he hit his first double of the season.

Meanwhile, Johnsonburg was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their fifth straight defeat. They came up short against DuBois Central Catholic, falling 10-0.
Johnsonburg's loss dropped their record down to 1-14. As for Coudersport, their record now sits at 9-4-1.
