Volleyball Recap: Goddard Beats South for Their Fourth Straight Victory

Goddard came tearing into Saturday's matchup with three straight wins , and they left with even more momentum. They walked away with a 2-0 win over the South Titans. The Lions have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Titans, too.

The 2-0 score doesn't show just how dominant Goddard was: they took both sets by at least 11 points. The final score came out to 25-14, 25-11.

Micah Gillespie paced Goddard's offense, picking up seven kills. Gillespie also shared the team's lead in assists with Madelyn Wilson: they picked up six each. Wilson also made an impact serving: she shared the team lead in aces with Kynadi Carter, racking up three apiece.

The victory got Goddard back to even at 8-8. As for South, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 0-9-2.

Goddard wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next game, a 2-1 win against Southeast on the 20th. As for South, they will challenge Heights on Tuesday.
