Baseball Recap: Duncanville Takes a Loss

Duncanville lost against Waxahachie last Tuesday, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Duncanville Panthers and Pantherettes fell 9-4 to the Waxahachie Indians. The Panthers and Pantherettes have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Duncanville saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Alejandro Layton, who scored two runs while going 1-for-3. Those two runs gave Layton a new career-high.

Duncanville's defeat dropped their record down to 6-10. As for Waxahachie, they are on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six games. That's provided a nice bump to their 7-8 record this season.

Duncanville will venture away from home to face off against Mansfield Timberview at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday. Duncanville is facing Mansfield Timberview at the right time seeing as Mansfield Timberview is stuck on a three-game losing streak. Waxahachie will get to enjoy the win for a while: their next game is against Horn at 7:00 p.m. on March 25th.
