Basketball Game Preview: Manila Mustangs vs. Piute Thunderbirds

Manila is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Friday. They walked away with a 53-43 win over Valley.

Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Piute, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Thursday. They snuck past Green River with a 53-49 victory on Friday. The win continues a trend for the Thunderbirds in their matchups with the Pirates: they've now won six in a row.

Manila's victory bumped their record up to 21-5. As for Piute, their win bumped their record up to 20-7.

Manila was able to grind out a solid victory over Piute in their previous meeting back in December of 2022, winning 47-35. Will the Mustangs repeat their success, or do the Thunderbirds have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
