Football Recap: Green Mountain Comes Up Short at Home Against the Classical Academy + How To Watch

Green Mountain unfortunately couldn't capitalize on their home-field advantage in their season opener. They took a hard 26-8 fall against The Classical Academy Titans on Saturday. If the Rams were looking for revenge after losing 19-16 to the Titans when the teams met back in November of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.

A big part of The Classical Academy's win came down to the chemistry between Kelsey Peterson and her top target Reagan Harter. Peterson threw for 184 yards and four touchdowns while Harter picked up 80 receiving yards and three TDs. What's more, Peterson racked up 17 rushing yards, the most she's had since back in August of 2024.

Green Mountain didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next match, a 14-6 victory against Columbine on the 21st. As for The Classical Academy, they will get to enjoy the win for a while: their next game is against Mountain View at 10:30 a.m. on September 6.
