Baseball Recap: Minarets Takes a Loss

It looked like the Kentucky Derby when Minarets duked it out with Dos Palos on Saturday. The Minarets Mustangs fell just short of the Dos Palos Broncos by a score of 6-5. The Mustangs were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Broncos apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in February of 2019.

Minarets saw nine different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Ethan Akins, who got on base in all four of his plate appearances with one stolen base. Another was Renzo Conti, who went 2-for-4 with one stolen base and two RBI.

Minarets now has a losing record of 1-2.

Coming up, Minarets is taking a road trip to face off against Mendota at 3:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Dos Palos, they will welcome Orange Cove at 3:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
