Football Game Preview: Davis County Mustangs vs. Albia Blue Demons

The Davis County Mustangs will head out on the road to square off against the Albia Blue Demons at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Davis County has given up an average of 34.2 points per game this season, but Friday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

The home team had come away the winner the last five times Davis County and Centerville had met, but sadly for the fans who attended this one that wasn't the case. The Mustangs were outmatched by the Big Reds/Redettes and fell 50-14. Mustangs fans who chose to attend the game sure picked the wrong one: it was the first time the team has lost against the Big Reds/Redettes since Friday.

Meanwhile, Albia came up short against South Tama County on Friday and fell 26-14.

Davis County dropped their record down to 1-3 with the loss, which was their fifth straight at home dating back to last season. As for Albia, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-2.

Davis County was taken down by Albia 41-7 when the teams last played back in October of 2024. Can the Mustangs avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
