South Bend Career Academy extends road losing streak to 15

The South Bend Career Academy Trailblazers's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Thursday after their tenth straight loss. They were beaten by South Bend Clay 63-18. South Bend Career Academy has not had much luck with South Bend Clay recently, as the team's come up short the last three times they've met.

Delilah Castaneda had an outrageously good game for South Bend Clay as she dropped a double-double on 29 points and 11 rebounds. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Castaneda has scored all season. Maliya Freeman was another key contributor, scoring 16 points along with eight rebounds and three blocks.

South Bend Career Academy's loss was their 15th straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 1-14. Those losses could be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they only averaged 19.6 points per game. As for South Bend Clay, their victory bumped their record up to 4-17.

South Bend Career Academy does not have any more games scheduled as of now. South Bend Clay will square off against Mishawaka Marian at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
