Basketball Game Preview: Hitchcock Bulldogs vs. LaPoynor Flyers

The Hitchcock Bulldogs and the LaPoynor Flyers will round out the year against one another at at 12:00 p.m. on Friday. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication, both will really light up the scoreboard.

Hitchcock took a loss when they played away from home last Saturday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Tuesday. They managed a 66-62 win over Angleton.

LaPoynor has been a dominant force so far, but they're in the middle of a mini-slump at the moment. They lost to Center at home by a 84-68 margin on Thursday.

Hitchcock has been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 10-6 record this season. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 57.5 points per game. As for LaPoynor, their defeat ended a four-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 14-4.
