Softball Recap: Orangeburg Prep Extends Winning Streak to Three

It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but Orangeburg Prep had no problem doing just that on Friday. They beat the Spartanburg Christian Academy Warriors by the very same score they won with in their prior game: 9-2. Considering the Indians have won eight matchups by more than six runs this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.

The team relied heavily on Prestan Schurlknight, who went a perfect 4-for-4 with one home run, two runs, and two RBI.

The win was the third in a row for Orangeburg Prep, bringing their record up to 14-8. Those victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.0 runs on average over those games. As for Spartanburg Christian Academy, the loss snapped their winning streak at six games and leaves them with a 11-2 record.

Orangeburg Prep has already played their next game, a 4-1 defeat against Pee Dee Academy on the 9th. Spartanburg Christian Academy does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
