Basketball Game Preview: McDonald Blue Devils vs. Western Reserve Blue Devils

McDonald are taking a road trip to challenge Western Reserve at 6:15 p.m. on Monday. Both come into the contest bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

On Thursday, McDonald didn't have too much breathing room in their matchup against McKinley, but they still walked away with a 34-30 victory.

McDonald found their leader in sophomore Emme Matthews, who shot 54% from the field en route to 17 points in addition to seven boards and four steals. Another player making a difference was Addison Grewell, who posted six points and 11 rebounds.

Meanwhile, Western Reserve strolled into their game on Saturday with a perfect record and they left with the same. They strolled past Chalker with points to spare, taking the game 60-42.

The win got McDonald back to even at 1-1. As for Western Reserve, their victory bumped their record up to 4-0.

McDonald was dealt a bruising 61-26 loss at the hands of Western Reserve in their previous meeting back in January. Can McDonald avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
