Baseball Game Preview: Northampton Konkrete Kids vs. North Pocono Trojans

Northampton has gone 7-1 against North Pocono recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Saturday. Northampton will look to take advantage of their home field for the first time this season as they takes on North Pocono at 11:00 a.m. North Pocono took a loss in their last match and will be looking to turn the tables on Northampton, who comes in off a win.

Last Thursday, Northampton made easy work of Louis E. Dieruff and carried off a 15-1 victory. The Konkrete Kids haven't had any issues with the Huskies recently, as the game was their eighth consecutive win against them.

Brady Simock and Gavin Pychinka were a major factor while hitting and pitching. Throwing, Simock struck out eight batters over three innings while giving up just one earned run off two hits (and only one walk). Meanwhile, Pychinka tossed two innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. Those eight strikeouts gave Simock a new career-high. At the plate, Simock scored two runs while going 1-for-3, while Pychinka went 2-for-3 with one triple, two RBI, and one run.

In other batting news, Aidan Sugra was incredible, going 2-for-3 with one home run, four RBI, and two runs. Billy Stuhldreher was another key player, scoring two runs and stealing a base.

North Pocono kicked off their season on the road on Friday and hit a couple of potholes. They took an 8-4 hit to the loss column at the hands of Wilkes-Barre.

Rory McAndrew was cooking despite his team's loss, scoring a run and stealing two bases while going 2-for-2. Another player making a difference was Anthony Santaniello, who scored a run and stole two bases while going 1-for-3.

Northampton took their victory against North Pocono when the teams last played back in April of 2024 by a conclusive 15-3. Will Northampton repeat their success, or does North Pocono has a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
