Recap: Campbell Spartans vs. Pebblebrook Falcons

The Campbell Spartans have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won six matchups by 22 points or more this season. They simply couldn't be stopped on Friday as they easily beat Pebblebrook 57-17 on the road. Given Campbell's advantage in MaxPreps' Georgia basketball rankings (they are ranked 48th, while Pebblebrook is ranked 418th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

It was another big night for Brooke Suttle, who scored 17 points along with five rebounds and five steals. The game was her fifth in a row with at least ten points. Marlie Battle was another key contributor, scoring six points.

Campbell has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won six of their last seven matches, which provided a nice bump to their 10-5 record this season. As for Pebblebrook, they bumped their record down to 1-9 with that loss, which was their fifth straight at home dating back to last season.

Campbell won't have much time to rest: their next matchup is against Palm Bay at 1:15 p.m. on January 6th. Hopefully Palm Bay focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 22 on Friday. Pebblebrook won't have much time to rest: their next match is against Valor Christian at 6:00 p.m. on January 6th. Valor Christian is coming into the game on a three-game losing streak.
