Softball Recap: Black River Comes Up Short

Black River and Canton Central Catholic squared off in some playoff action on Monday, but Black River had to settle for second. They fell just short of the Crusaders by a score of 9-8. The Pirates have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Remi Dieter made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and went 2-for-4 with one stolen base, two RBI, and one run. She has been hot recently, having posted at least one stolen base the last four times she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Mia Rosales, who went 2-for-4 with three RBI and one double.

Black River's loss dropped their record down to 14-9. As for Canton Central Catholic, the win was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 9-11.

As of now, neither Black River nor the Crusaders have any future games scheduled.
