Peru extended their postseason success on Wednesday against Beekmantown. They put the hurt on the Eagles with a sharp 9-3 victory. The Nighthawks might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won ten matchups by six runs or more this season.

Donnie Mitchell made a splash no matter where he played. On the mound, he struck out nine batters over seven innings while giving up three earned runs off three hits. That's the most strikeouts he has posted since back in April. He was also big at the plate, going 2-for-4 with three stolen bases and three runs.

Mitchell wasn't the only one making solid contact as five players wound up with at least one hit. One of them was Jake Frechette, who went 2-for-4 with one home run, three RBI, and two runs. Another was Deacon Whitmarsh, who went 2-for-4 with one run, one double, and one RBI.

The win was the fourth in a row for Peru, bringing their record up to 16-1. As for Beekmantown, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 10-9.

As of now, neither Peru nor the Eagles have any future games scheduled.
